Privacy Policy

This site is operated by Q-Ball Productions, Inc. in connection with the documentary film TOTALITY. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect
Only what you choose to type into a form. There are three:
- Host a screening — your name, email address, organisation, city and country, proposed timing, and your message.
- Press inquiry — your name, email address, organisation, and your message.
- Stay in touch — your email address, city, and country, and your name if you choose to give it.
Alongside each submission we record the date and time it was sent and which page it came from. Nothing else.
What we don't collect
We don't use analytics. We don't use advertising or tracking pixels. There are no accounts, no logins, and no payments. The site sets no cookies of its own.
We don't build profiles, we don't sell or rent anything you send us, and we don't share it with anyone outside the film's production team.
Why we collect it
To answer you. A screening request goes to the filmmakers so they can reply with terms and technical requirements. A press inquiry goes to the press contact. Stay in touch is used to tell you about screenings and news for this film — city and country let us tell you about a screening near you specifically — and nothing else. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Services we rely on
Running the site means a few companies necessarily handle data:
- Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers log requests, which includes visitors' IP addresses.
- Airtable stores form submissions.
- Uploadcare delivers the images and video on the site.
- Vimeo hosts the trailer. The trailer is not loaded until you press play. If you do, Vimeo may set cookies and will know you watched it, under Vimeo's own privacy policy. If you never press play, Vimeo receives nothing.
Each of these operates under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for as long as the film's release campaign is running, and are deleted when it ends. Email addresses collected through Stay in touch are kept until you ask us to remove them.
You can ask us to delete anything you've sent, at any time, by emailing info@totalityfilm.com. We'll do it and confirm.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@totalityfilm.com and we'll respond.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law — including in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and several US states. We'll honour any request covered by those laws. If you believe we've mishandled your information, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@totalityfilm.com and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
